Our May 20 meeting at Red Rocks Café was a fun night. We had 26 members including 2 new members join us for a nice evening talking about vacation plans and catching up. We congratulated Tim & Cathy Gelbar for their 15 year PCA anniversary along with Mark Fuller who celebrated his 10 year anniversary. We covered all of the fun drives, tours and driving events coming up the next few months so be sure to check the Carolinas Region PCA calendar for dates & details.
Our May split the pot winner was Larry Jerge who most generously donated a portion of it back to the pot, benefiting our charity fund that supports Samaritans Purse and the 2nd Harvest Food Bank in Charlotte. “Many Thanks Larry”. In addition, our door prize winners this month were Paul Peindl who won a Carolinas Region PCA umbrella, Mark Fuller won a Porsche tote bag, Jeff Henry won a Porsche wine tote, Russ Brasher won a cool blue Porsche ball cap and Tracy and Rosea Gentry won Porsche air fresheners. Congrats to all for your support!
Our May 16 Shine & Show Charity car show & drive to Beaver’s Den was a blast. We had 22 cars join us for a scenic drive thru the back roads of SC down to Camden SC, where we joined the festivities of a live band, the Jeep Club and a local biker club was also there. It was quite an eclectic event. Our show winners were: 1st Place Todd Bogdan, and we had a tie for 2nd Place between Jim Hess & Richard Weber and 3rd Place went to Hunter Widener. Congrats guys and thanks to everyone who participated in our door prize raffle. After our event was over, a few of us took a photo opp in front of the Great Falls Dam, making a nice back drop for our cars!
